RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING
FAITH COMMUNITIES IN SWEDEN

There are different kinds of laws and regulations in Sweden which concern religion and faith communites. The basic laws of Sweden has rules regarding the religious freedom, discrimination and other important issues regarding human rights. There are also laws that concern the status of faith communities and how they can operate in Sweden.

LAWS THAT CONCERN THE STATUS AND RIGHTS OF FAITH COMMUNITIES

  • Act on Religious Communities (1998)
  • Church Act (1998)
